on the tiny sharp pebbles of the abilene swim club with a blue and white checkered dish towel over my head while the water trickles from my brains and clouds form and pink and orange children pee in the chlorine delightfully, lifeguards shine and i remember this one time i realized i was swimming. i mean, swimming is probably the greatest thing in the world. and i was THERE, swimming. pretty neat, huh. and at the bottom of the pool were all these nickels and dimes shining in that flourescent clear hard way that reminds me of how teeth sound when they click. what a good thing.

people will fill this house again in less than a week. i hope it will be loud again and i can wrestle with my siblings in the hall outside the bathroom door and brother #1 says 'HAY SHUT UP YOU GUYS I'M TRYIN TO TRIM MY BEARD' while sister punches brother #2 in the stomach and i laugh because that is all i ever do in our boxers and wool nightgowns before sleep. it is so quiet and dumb and sad here. i miss them. my head is swimming with all these monster things and mother cooks me dinner and tickles my ear the night it feels like there's nothing to say even though what am i talking about because there's always FLAG FOOTBALL to talk about. boy this is crazy.
